Responsibilities:
  • Designed database architecture behind Payment Server of Showmore – the E-commerce platform of ucfunnel.
  • Implemented core functionalities of Payment Server that integrates numerous payment and logistic APIs for Showmore, including LinePay, Ecpay, Jkopay, Newebpay, DHL, etc.
  • Built and deployed Docker images of different microservices onto Rancher, and performed data migration for products pushed into production.
  • Wrote unit tests and integration tests for Payment Server, which helped quality control of new features.
  • Maintained and optimized ucfunnel’s SSP Kernel, hosting millions of ad requests from publishers around the world.
  • Refactored old DSP Dashboard legacy code from Node.js to Go version for better performance, readability, and easier maintenance.

Responsibilities:
  • Built an auto-tagging system that categorizes Realtek’s meeting reports into 20 product groups.
  • Queried Realtek’s meeting reports data through Elasticsearch Head in JSON form, then preprocessed the data using jieba for simplified Chinese and traditional Chinese tokenization, and nltk for English word segmentation.
  • Implemented 3 ML model (Multinomial Naïve Bayes, Support Vector Machines, Neural Network) for the auto-tagging system and obtained a 99% F1-score after 4-fold cross-validation.

Lawsnote Inc. (七法)

Responsibilities:
  • Created a software that identified 91,434 governmental administrative rules with high similarity in content (potential duplicates) from 200K originally crawled governmental administrative rules in Lawsnote’s database under 20 minutes (originally was 1 or 1.5 hours).
  • Researched and explained the pros and cons of different similarity measure algorithms to our team and helped optimize the accuracy of finding duplicates within Lawsnote’s database.
  • Coded Lawsnote’s notification system REST API to alert subscribers about any updates and activities related to laws or acts they subscribed.
  • Programmed a tool that finds all occurrences of given keywords in a judicial judgment. Evaluated the pros and cons for two ways of implementation - using regular expression or using trie data structure.

  • Collaborated with hundreds of Amazon Fulfillment Center (FC) employees and managers in brainstorming a solution – Amazon Alert – helps Amazon FC employees mitigate security threats through strengthening employees’ security culture.
  • Led a team of 4 on prototyping Amazon Alert, a paired alert system with mobile and desktop version, fosters embodiment of security within employees, encouraging a greater level of compliance with security measures and proper incident management.

Learn AWS IAM - IAM Users, Groups, Credentials

What is AWS IAM? In AWS, Identity and Access Management (IAM) is one of the AWS services and it is used to help users securely control access to AWS resources. Everything you do in AWS needs permission, which means that you will eventually encounter or use IAM features when building your own AWS services. IAM features include determining who is eligible to sign in, who or what has access to resources, and so on.
